Monaco Yacht Show 2022

September 2022

Never Follow

OCEA Yachts takes advantage of the prestigious MYS to unveil its new brand content and assert its ambitions. The Show will be held from 28 September to 1 October.

For the last 30 years, this not-to-be-missed event in the world of superyachts is attended by all the luxury yachting professionals. This year’s innovations include in particular the space allocated to Yacht Design & Innovation Hub – which has been doubled! – and the creation of a new exhibition space dedicated to sustainable technological solutions applied to superyachts, the Sustainability Hub.

For demanding yachtsmen

OCEA Yachts will also present numerous innovations: nested in Monaco’s Port Hercules, the shipyard will instil new brand dynamics and reassert its pioneering know-how in the design and construction of aluminium yachts. “We want to demonstrate our ability to undertake full custom projects of up to 90 metres”, explains Jean-Michel Flour, OCEA Yachts sales director. “Our objective is to express the shipyard’s strengths and singularities in a firmly modern approach. And above all to demonstrate the ability of OCEA Yachts to support the most demanding yachtsmen, those who want to go their own way.” The idea is not to deny the shipyard’s DNA but to promote its advantages and its difference. “We want to assume the status of an industrial brand making aluminium ships, by pushing back the limits of technical skill and innovation,” adds Jean-Michel Flour. “OCEA Yachts adopts a winning attitude and a high level of desirability.” This is conveyed by the brand’s new promise, Never Follow.

Express expertise

The designer Olivier Pigasse explained these directions on the OCEA Yacht booth: “The aim is to surprise as well as send the right message to convince!” From the outside, the eye is drawn by a lenticular image which changes from the sketch to the finished boat to express the expertise in construction and customisation. The slogan Build Your Own Yacht to Cross Time and Seas induces the notion of strength and the marine qualities of OCEA boats; the deep blue of the façade and the letters with mirror polish effect add the finishing touch to convey a high-quality image. Inside, the OCEA Nautilus takes pride of place with a model and a large print which takes up two thirds of the booth. Special finishes displayed on the wall emphasise the infinite possibilities in terms of interior design. As explained by the designer, “the intention is to give the brand more visibility and bring high-level cultural references while remaining functional.”.

Let’s meet at Monaco

As usual, the OCEA booth will be on Quai L’Hirondelle, stand QH26.
