The MYS returns to MonacoSeptember 2021
After the 2020 event was cancelled due to the pandemic, the Monaco Yacht Show will reopen its doors from September 22 to 25.
It is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year! Since it was first held in 1991, the MYS has become the greatest international yacht show in the world, the place to be that brings together all the specialists in the sector – shipyards, architects, designers, decorators, brokers, manufacturers of tenders and leisure boating accessories, and more broadly, everything related to luxury and the yachting lifestyle – high tech equipment, automobiles, furnishings and decoration, jets, helicopters, etc.
For its return after a year’s absence, the MYS is reinventing itself to focus on superyacht clients. The organisers are introducing a three-tiered approach to visitor badges: Discover for yacht clients, Advise for advisors and consultants and Connect for trade visitors. There is also a new Dockside Area that brings together exhibitors directly involved in building, designing or managing superyachts and tenders. In order to reduce congestion around the entrance, access will be reserved exclusively for visitors with Discover and Advise badges, as well as the Sapphire Experience VIP program, on Wednesday, September 22. Another new feature is a Yacht Design & Innovation Hub where visitors can meet design experts. Obviously, the 2021 MYS will be operated according to an extremely strict health protocol.
So much to discover
There will also be a lot of new things to see at the OCEA Yachts stand. First of all, the sketches of the tenth OCEA motoryacht will be on display, custom-built for her owner like all our yachts.
Construction is starting on this 32.70-metre aluminium ocean-going vessel, which will be the first OCEA yacht with engines that meet the latest IMO Tier III environmental standards, allowing it to sail in Emissions Control Areas defined by the International Maritime Organization. Visitors will also be able to see the improvements that have been made at the shipyard, in particular the new workshops built at the La Rochelle site, which, like the yard in Les Sables-d’Olonne, will be able to accommodate mega-yachts by summer 2022.
Large screen displays
This year, the OCEA Yachts stand will feature two large screens where visitors can watch the film celebrating our shipyard’s 30th anniversary, as well as all the 3D views of the different OCEA Commuter yachts and the designs imagined by OCEA Yachts. As usual, OCEA Yachts will be on Quai L’Hirondelle, stand QH18.
