A pioneer in aluminum shipbuilding, the OCEA shipyard has extended its activities to other industrial products and includes two distinct entities: OCEA Navale and OCEA Industrie.
The OCEA group has three production sites on the French Atlantic coast, in Sables-d’Olonne, Saint-Nazaire and La Rochelle, as well as one site in Fontenay-le-Comte.
Designing a yacht is above all designing a boat… It must be able to brave the same seas as the working ships on which OCEA’s reputation has been built. It must also exhibit the same level of precision, efficiency and safety for its occupants.
This is why OCEA has always applied the same design and manufacturing standards to the world of yachts as for its other aluminium productions. Every element is perfect, in its proper place and designed with intention…
OCEA was anchored in Sables d’Olonne in 1987 by taking over the activity of the Pouvreau shipyard, founded in 1934. Over the following decade, the company strengthened its shipbuilding activity and continued to grow at four production sites.
OCEA now builds units up to 90 meters.
At OCEA, each boat is designed and built exclusively to order and to the shipowner’s specific needs. Designing a motor yacht is a great adventure, one that takes about two years.
Seeing the project through to its completion is a process that largely depends on regular communication between the yard and the shipowner.
