At Ocea Yachts, each boat is designed exclusively to order and built to the shipowner’s specific requirements. The creation of a motor yacht is a wonderful human adventure that involves many people.
At the start of the project, two in-house design offices are responsible for the construction project in two separate phases.
Naval architects in the project design office finalise overall plans in compliance with all applicable regulations and work out the design specifications.
OCEA’s project design office is located in Saint-Nazaire.
Located in Les Sables-d’Olonne, naval architects with the design development office draw up construction plans and the relevant documentation.
Seeing the project through to its completion is a process that largely depends on effective communication between the shipyard and the shipowner. An experienced project manager oversees the project to ensure the process runs smoothly. The project manager works in close liaison with Ocea’s design offices, and serves as the exclusive point of contact and advisor for the shipowner. Above all, the project manager guarantees the quality of the finished product.
After launching, the boat is entrusted to the commissioning manager. The commissioning manager oversees the drafting of technical documentation, as well as technical and operational tests, and draws up the maintenance plan.
