OCEA Yachts appoints an agent in Thailand

Infinite Yachts Asia has been chosen to represent OCEA Yachts on the Thai market. The two partners will be present in January at the Thailand Yacht Show in Phuket.

“We opened in 2011,” explains Giovanni Toumi, manager of Infinite Yachts. “The company specializes in the sale of new and used boats, as well as yacht management and charters.” Initially located in Golfe-Juan, Infinite Yachts has since opened three other offices in Saint-Tropez, San Remo and, in 2016, in Phuket to represent Sunreef catamarans. “Business in Europe is somewhat erratic, especially in winter,” says Giovanni Toumi. “This is why we looked for another location. We considered the United States, but there are too many competitors. Asia, on the other hand, still has only a few brokers. The ports are developing very quickly and it is very open to international trade. Today, the market is booming. Phuket already has four marinas, and a fifth is under construction for yachts up to 100 metres. Now is the right time to be there!”

Distinctive yachts

In any case, the manager is pleased to be able to collaborate with OCEA Yachts: “These products are quite different from what the Italians or the Dutch offer. Of course, because of the aluminium construction, but also because the shipyard is highly organized and very professional in its approach. This is true for construction as well as for the development of custom yachts. Customers appreciate this high-end approach. They expect excellence and distinction.” OCEA Yachts is perfectly capable of providing both of these features, with solid sea-handling capabilities as a bonus.

A unique Yacht Show

The two partners will begin their collaboration on the occasion of the new Thailand Yacht Show & RendezVous to be held in Phuket from January 10 to 13. “We will have a booth dedicated to Sunreef and OCEA Yachts,” says Giovanni Toumi. This new event brings together the two Shows that up till now were held in Phuket a few weeks apart. All the leaders in the superyacht market will be on hand, as well as a wide range of watersport equipment and toys, luxury lifestyle brands and exotic cars, not to mention numerous workshops and sideshows. “We expect great results from this show,” says Giovanni Toumi. It is worth noting that OCEA Yachts’ presence in Thailand during the Show will be enhanced by the recent arrival in Phuket of Akissi, the OCEA Classic 85 built in 2008.
